Refund policy
A DeveloperHiring subscription is paid in advance and is not refundable once charged. Sourcing, screening, assessments and AI interviews are available the moment a plan is active, so we treat every payment as final, apart from three narrow cases described below. Write to support@developerhiring.com with any billing question.
Effective October 14, 2026.
1. Why payments are final
From the first day of a plan your workspace can open roles, invite candidates to coding tests and run technical interviews. Those actions use capacity we pay for on your behalf and cannot be taken back. The one time demo lets you see a sample shortlist before you buy, and that is the moment to decide whether the platform fits your hiring.
2. Situations that do not qualify for a refund
- The role was filled elsewhere, put on hold or cancelled after you subscribed.
- Your team used fewer seats, assessments or interviews than the plan includes, or none at all.
- A shortlisted candidate declined an offer or did not work out. We do not guarantee hiring outcomes.
- AI scores or interview summaries did not match your own judgement, while the features worked as described.
- A monthly or yearly renewal charged on schedule because nobody cancelled in time.
- You chose a higher plan than you needed, or yearly instead of monthly billing.
- You cancelled during a period and want the remaining days paid back.
3. The only exceptions
- Charged twice by our mistake. If a billing error on our side produced two charges for the same workspace and period, we return the extra one.
- Unauthorised payment. If your card was charged for DeveloperHiring without your permission and you tell us within 14 days of the charge, we check the account activity and payment record and refund a charge we confirm was not yours.
- Complete outage. If the platform was entirely unusable for an extended time because of a fault on our side, and you reported it while it was happening, we may refund the affected share of that period.
Refunds under these exceptions are limited to what was paid for the period concerned and are returned to the original payment method. Send your request from the email address of a workspace admin within 14 days of the charge, stating the date, amount and invoice number if you have one.
4. Cancelling a subscription
Admins can cancel at any time from the billing page. Cancelling switches off future renewals and leaves the current paid period running to its end. It does not return any amount already charged, and we do not issue prorated refunds. Scale customers paying by invoice follow the same rule for the invoiced period.
5. Renewals and repeated payment attempts
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same term until cancelled. When a renewal payment fails, the payment provider may try the card again over the next days. A renewal collected on such a later attempt is an ordinary renewal under this policy.
6. Records we keep
We store when your workspace accepted our terms of service, a log of workspace activity (sign ins, roles opened, candidates invited, tests and interviews run) and the payment record from the payment provider, including the result of any 3D Secure verification.
7. Chargebacks
Please contact us before contacting your bank. Disputing a charge for a service that was delivered, without raising it with us first, breaches our terms, and the workspace is closed. We provide the bank with the records described above.
8. Consumers
DeveloperHiring is sold to businesses. Where consumer law still applies to a purchase, by subscribing you request immediate access and acknowledge that any 14 day right of withdrawal ends once the service starts. Rights that cannot be waived under the law where you live remain unaffected.
9. Earlier purchases
Payments made before October 14, 2026 are governed by the terms in force on the date of payment.
